TAMURA: Pioneering Women’s Urological Care in Tamil Nadu

On October 27, 2024, the Tamil Nadu Magalir Urological Association (TAMURA), the first-ever association dedicated to women urologists in Tamil Nadu, was founded under the visionary leadership of Prof. N. Rajamaheswari. The inaugural ceremony, held at the Hilton Hotel, Chennai, was graced by esteemed pioneers in the field, including Prof. A. Rajasekaran, Dr. S. Varadharajan, Dr. S. Subramaniam, Dr. S. Doraisamy, and Dr. P.B. Sivaraman. This historic event marked a significant milestone in advancing women’s urological care and fostering a collaborative platform for female professionals in the specialty. TAMURA is set to empower women urologists, promote innovation, and enhance patient care across Tamil Nadu.
